Stupid race can be summed up with bullets…
- Off the front by myself 30 miles in, then joined by Nick, then a LONG time later by Üäði and Jaime, who were nice and fresh.
- Lead bike comes up to us with 10 or 15 miles to go and tells us some rider has just rocketed out of the field and bitten 2.5 minutes into what was a 4 minute gap. The motorbikes are baffled “how can someone come from no where like that?”, but I know exactly who it is… CAGLE, the others in the break figured that’s probably who it was too and they PANICKED, which put them right up on a tee for Nick and I.
- Üäði didn’t want to risk breaking his chain for the win, so decided to coast in, yet didn’t mind torqueing (sp?) on it for the 4 hours prior to the last attack.
- Lead Nick out for a convincing win.
- GOT THE HECK OUT OF WICHITA FALLS! (sorry Stefan)
