We had a crazy bad ice storm in Tulsa last week Sunday night and my power has been at at home for 8 days. Luckily for me I don’t have a January 1st deadline for the largest project I have ever done at work, so I can sleep there. The positive from the ice storm is that I am now a ninja with a chainsaw, and learned how to reconnect my meter box, breaker box and weather head on my house. It’s crazy how dark Tulsa is without power

Below is a company wide email sent out by Jim at New Medio.
In honor of Britney’s debacle at last week’s VMAs, Adam has offered to buy lunch for the first four people that respond to this email. The lunch, which many insiders believe Britney ate every day in the months leading up to her heralded performance, will consist of the following:
1.) A double-triple BK Stacker from The King (an unimaginable 6 patties sandwiched between two amazing buns)
2.) The largest of large fries (with loads of extra salt)
3.) Onion rings (fried extra long)
4.) Apple pie
5.) A massive Diet Coke (after all, baby’s got to dance)

We all know that in the corporate world there are lots and lots of meetings. Meetings are great for spawning new ideas. Most of the time however we just sit and think about what we will say next, then we try to find a gap in the current speakers talk to chime in, usually in a loud voice. The topic runs rampant and we end up with tons of information and don’t really have much direction by the end of the battle.
What if instead we did something like talking in a circle. Pausing after each person finishes speaking and pondering the idea, then letting each person give input on that idea. New ideas may stem off, but write those down and save them for after completing the first idea.
Genius, all corporations should pay me millions for these thoughts

Chad and Josh came to eat lunch with Chris Z (fellow rider and owner of my new workplace) and I today, so we took out the cruiser bikes from the office. Chad picked the pink Electra. On our way back it started to rain pretty hard, so we were sprinting back… Chad stood up and did a full on Robbie Mcewen sprint on this pink cruiser, his cadence must have been 150rpm, then he had to lock it up to avoid getting hit when he came out of the alley. This was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time… A guy in his Kahki’s and nice shirt sprinting on a PINK cruiser bike and then almost crashing. I put more footage of the pre lunch rider on my photos page
